We are proud to announce our next training opportunity for law enforcement. The Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee and the Arkansas Tactical Officers’ Association are joining together to bring you an amazing class, “The Beslan Terrorist School Siege and Lessons for America.�

ADIAI sets May Conference at Hot Springs

The Arkansas Division of the International Association for Identification is holding a training conference May 8th through the 12th in Hot Springs at The Clarion Resort. Registrations received before April 8th will be $80.00 for the conference. The conference fee is $100.00 after that date. Personnel who cannot attend the entire conference may attend specific days at a rate of $35.00 per day.

Topics will range from footwear impressions, digital evidence, AFIX, DMORT and a presentation on the CSI Effect and how it affects the law enforcement community.

Wednesday will be breakout workshop day with the following topics presented. Crime Scene (General processing), Alpha angles of blood stains, latent print comparison and the collection of major case prints, eleimination prints and processing textured surfaces. Topics will be offered in both the morning and afternoon, allowing attendees to select two of the four topics.

When going AAPE is a good thing. 2007 Conference Dates March 20-23

AAPE, in this case, is the Arkansas Association of Property and Evidence. They have set their annual conference for March 20th through the 23rd. Cost to attend is $150.00 per person and includes 2007/2008 association membership and daily lunch buffet during the conference. Topics this year will include Ethics, Leadership and Arkansas Law. The Association will be two years old in March. Membership is open to personel involved in the collection and preservation of property and evidence. Arrangements have been made for a special rate if you wish to stay at the Holiday Inn but you will need to tell them you are attending the conference when you reserve your room.
